Much like Guatemala, Belize boasts stable and delightful temperatures throughout the year. Inland, within the mountainous Maya Mountains region, the climate is warm and humid, distinctly tropical in character. Along the coast and islands, however, nights can feel considerably cooler thanks to the ocean breezes.
While temperatures remain relatively consistent year-round, the country experiences two distinctly marked seasons.
From mid-November through early May marks the dry season, while the remainder of the year brings tropical rainfall to the country. Rain typically falls heavily for a few hours before clearing, allowing the sun to emerge again—all without causing temperature fluctuations.
